Hi Adolph,

Well, now I'm on Santorini Island. I came here by plane
because I didn't want to get sick this time. This island is
crescent-shaped. They say most of the land sank because of
volcano eruptions in the sixteenth century b.c.
This island boasts a long and glorious history.

I took a picture of Thira, pronounced "fear-a", the biggest
town in this island. The population is 1,800. It's 260 meters
above sea level. You can go up to the town by cable car or
donkey. Can you see something white on the mountain in the
picture? It isn't snow. They live in white houses. The
contrasting architecture with the blue of the sky and the
Aegean Sea makes for quite a picturesque place, don't you
think?
